Today, in our staff meeting, one of my colleagues asked: Why do some people need continued direct interventions like laser and neurofeedback, while the patient we were discussing, do not seem to need continued treatment?
Think of the body’s healing like a garden:
Some patients eventually stop needing treatment because: We’ve removed what was harming their brain (infection, inflammation, poor diet, mold exposure, etc.) and used direct interventions like laser and neurofeedback to remove the weeds and pests from the “garden” – the brain. Once they’re gone, the garden can thrive on its own without constant intervention.
Other patients need ongoing treatment because: The underlying problems (infection, hormones, diet, mold, etc.) continue to affect them – either because they can’t fully eliminate these factors or due to genetic issues beyond their control. It’s like a garden where certain conditions keep returning – these gardens need regular maintenance to stay healthy.
In simple terms: When we can eliminate harmful factors, the brain can maintain its own health. When harmful factors persist, regular treatment helps keep symptoms under control.
Glyphosate is one factor that is very important to neutralize. So, if you want to know more, continue reading!
Glyphosate: What You Need to Know
What is Glyphosate?
Glyphosate is a widely used herbicide (weed killer) found in products like Roundup. It is commonly used on crops such as corn, soy, wheat, oats, and in home gardens.
Where is Glyphosate Found?
- Many non-organic foods, especially grains, cereals, and legumes
- Drinking water (from agricultural runoff)
- Lawns and gardens treated with weed killers
Potential Health Effects
- May act as an endocrine disruptor (affecting hormones)
- Possible links to cancer, liver problems, and gut health issues
- Can disrupt gut bacteria and may increase oxidative stress
How to Reduce Exposure
- Choose organic foods when possible, especially grains, cereals, and legumes
- Wash and peel fruits and vegetables
- Avoid using glyphosate-based weed killers at home
- Use water filters that can reduce glyphosate
- Choose organic cotton products
Supporting Your Body’s Detoxification
- Eat more fermented foods (sauerkraut, kimchi, kefir) to support healthy gut bacteria
- Include cruciferous vegetables (such as broccoli, kale, and cauliflower) to support liver detoxification
- Consider supplements like milk thistle, magnesium, and zinc
- Stay hydrated and maintain regular physical activity
Summary
Glyphosate is common in our environment, but you can reduce your exposure through mindful food and lifestyle choices. Supporting your gut and liver health can also help your body process and eliminate toxins.
